Daytona Beach, Florida – Concern is mounting as 18-year-old Shaniya Clarke has been missing since Saturday, August 10. Clarke, who was last seen walking north on Daytona Beach’s 2500 block, has not returned, leading to an outpouring of worry and prayers from the community.
Shaniya, who has a mental health condition and is currently without her medication, was last seen wearing a silver bikini top, black pants, and a blonde wig. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office has issued a public alert, urging anyone with information to contact them immediately, as her condition may cause her to react negatively if approached.
The delay in the publicizing of her disappearance has sparked questions and concerns among those following the case. On Facebook, Samantha Hewett Mytnik questioned, "Serious question, is there a reason it has taken 6 days for this to get posted? Her friend didn’t look for her? Just trying to make sense of some things. I pray she is found safe and soon!! God please keep her safe out there until she goes home."
