Rio Rancho, NM – The community of Rio Rancho is growing increasingly concerned as 42-year-old David Gill has been missing since the early hours of August 4, 2024. David was last heard from at 12:15 a.m. that day, when he spoke with a friend, stating that he was at 98th and Central. However, his phone later pinged at Mountain and Louisiana before it was turned off around 4 a.m.
David was supposed to meet friends at 1 a.m. and pick up his girlfriend at 3 a.m., but he never arrived at either destination. He was reportedly driving a 2007 Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle, which may be covered in blue and black vinyl.
The Rio Rancho Police Department is handling the case, identified as case number 24006660. Friends, family, and concerned community members have taken to social media, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Gabriel F. Kane, a friend of David’s, shared on Facebook, "We used to kick it all the time, haven’t seen you in forever, bro. I really hope you’re ok."
Brie Ricar, the last known person to have spoken with David, also posted, "PLEASE IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH DAVID GILL SINCE SATURDAY NIGHT, GOING INTO SUNDAY MORNING TILL ABOUT MIDNIGHT 12:15 IF YOU’VE HEARD FROM HIM SINCE THEN OR SEEN HIM, PLEASE CONTACT ME OR RIO RANCHO PD."
David Ortega, another friend, called on the community, "Prayer Warriors!!! Hear the CALL!!!"
