Pete Beberg began his distinguished career with the Coon Rapids Police Department in 1970. Over the course of 25 years, he held various critical roles, starting as a Patrol Officer and later becoming the Coon Rapids Middle School Liaison Officer. His exceptional skills in investigation led him to the position of Detective, where he was eventually promoted to Lead Detective and, finally, to Sergeant.
Throughout his career, Pete Beberg was known for his dedication to justice and community safety. He was not only a public servant but also a mentor to many, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with and the citizens he served. His son, Officer Steve Beberg, continues his legacy at the Coon Rapids Police Department, a testament to the values Pete instilled in his family.

Final Farewell
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sergeant Pete Beberg will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home in Andover, and an hour before the Mass at the church.
