Coroner Confirms Myaunna Chacole Foster Juarez’s Death as Homicide Following Shooting Incident on Winter Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Fort Wayne, Indiana – The tragic shooting of 17-year-old Myaunna Chacole Foster Juarez on Winter Street has officially been ruled a homicide by the Allen County Coroner’s office. The Fort Wayne Police Department launched an investigation following the incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on August 15.

Officers responded to the 2900 block of Winter Street, where they found Myaunna with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Myaunna succumbed to her injuries. The coroner later confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to the head.

As of now, no information regarding a suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting has been released. Investigators are actively seeking information and have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact them through the “P3 Tips” app, Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (7867), or the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201.

The investigation remains ongoing as the community mourns the loss of the young teenager.
