Crimea Baker and Sean Lange Found Dead in New Market, Maryland Home; Authorities Suspect Targeted Attack

New Market, Maryland – The Frederick County community is reeling after the tragic deaths of 33-year-old Crimea Baker and 34-year-old Sean Lange, who were found fatally shot in their home on Mandalong Court in New Market. The devastating incident, which occurred early Sunday morning, has left four young children without their mother.

According to Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, the crime appeared to be driven by "rage and anger," as more than forty shots were fired at the victims. The couple was discovered in their bed shortly after the shooting, which is believed to have taken place around 1:30 a.m. One of Baker’s four children, all of whom were present during the attack, found the bodies and called the police at around 7:00 a.m.

Baker was the mother of all four children, including one she had with Lange. The children, all under the age of 13, hid in the house during the terrifying ordeal. Sheriff Jenkins assured the public that there is no ongoing threat, emphasizing that the suspect likely committed a "crime of rage and passion."

The community has been deeply affected by this tragedy. One of Baker’s fellow coaches, Jojendi Zigns, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, saying, "It is with a heavy heart that I have to share this news. As some of you know, I am one of the coaches of my girls track team. One of my fellow coaches, Crimea Baker and her boyfriend Sean were fatally shot to death two days ago leaving behind four beautiful children. If possible, please pray for this family as well as donate to help keep these babies together. This is so sad… Please support… In Jesus’ name, Amen…."

Another Facebook user, Jennifer Lynn, expressed her concern for the children, asking, "Is there a family member able to keep these kids together? I have not stopped thinking about them and this awful thing they have had to endure."

As the investigation continues, local law enforcement agencies are working closely with Frederick County deputies to uncover more details about the incident. The community is rallying to support Baker’s children in the wake of this unthinkable tragedy.
