Dale Cook, 61, Reported Missing in Toowoomba’s Middle Ridge, Police Seek Public Assistance

Toowoomba, Queensland – Dale Cook, a 61-year-old resident of Middle Ridge, has been reported missing, prompting an urgent call for public assistance from the Queensland Police Service. Dale was last seen on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m. walking on McStay Street, one of the main streets in the affluent suburb of Middle Ridge. He has not contacted his family since, which they describe as highly out of character.

Dale Cook is described as Caucasian, standing 175 cm tall with a medium build, thinning grey hair, and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a light blue jumper and dark blue tracksuit pants.

The Toowoomba community has been actively sharing information on social media, with many expressing their concern. On the Toowoomba Community Notice Board, Kylez Turner posted, "Just got sent this missing person from our community, if you know him or can help, call the Toowoomba police." Another community member, Glenys Shearer, questioned the focus on the suburb in the original report, saying, "The Chronicle, what does ‘up-market’ have to do with this Gentleman being Missing? He has gone missing from McStay Street, Middleridge."

Other Facebook users have shared their hopes and prayers for Dale’s safe return. Melissa Mariah posted, "I hope he is somewhere warm," while Michelle Burke expressed her concern by asking, "Tracy Cook, your Dale?"

The Queensland Police Service has urged anyone with information on Dale Cook’s whereabouts to come forward. The case has raised significant concern among the local community, and police continue to appeal for public assistance in locating Dale.
