Dale Molnar, Beloved Hebron Resident and Car Enthusiast, Passes Away at 62

Hebron, Connecticut – The community of Hebron is mourning the loss of Dale Patrick Molnar, a well-loved resident, who passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. Dale, aged 62, was a devoted family man and a passionate car enthusiast, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many.

Born on March 11, 1962, in Willimantic, Connecticut, Dale was the son of William and Eileen Molnar of Ashford. He was a proud graduate of Windham Regional Technical School, where he studied Automotive Technology, a field that fueled his lifelong love for cars. Dale worked for 40 years as a Diesel Hydraulic Mechanic with the IUOE Local 478 in Hamden, Connecticut.

Dale’s love for automobiles was evident in his pride and joy—a 1965 Ford Mustang. He frequently attended local car shows and cruise nights, where he showcased his beloved Mustang. His passion extended to Top Fuel Racing, motocross, snowmobiling, and camping. His influence was instrumental in the establishment of Donifer Farms Donkey and Eeyore Museum in Hebron.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Molnar, his daughter, Jennifer Molnar, and his son, Brandon Molnar, along with his wife Ashleigh. Dale also leaves behind his sisters, Deborah Molnar and Denise Scaplin, his two granddaughters, Addison and Maisy, and his nephew, Max Molnar. His best friend, Nitrous, also survives him. Dale was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Molnar, and his niece, Molly Molnar.

A Mass celebrating Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Family in Amston. The family will receive visitors starting at 10:00 a.m. before the Mass, followed by a reception in the church hall.

The Hebron community and those who knew Dale are invited to join in celebrating his life and paying tribute to the extraordinary journey he took. Many have shared their condolences on social media, with Michelle Bogan-Smith writing, "Rest in peace, Dale," and Petra Laboy simply stating, "RIP." These sentiments reflect the deep loss felt by all who had the honor of knowing Dale Molnar.
