Daly City Mourns the Loss of Beloved Resident Jacqueline Bartido Balingit, Passed Away at Age 53

Daly City, California – The close-knit community of Daly City is grieving the loss of Jacqueline "Jackie" Bartido Balingit, who passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2024. Jackie, a lifelong resident of Daly City, was a cherished figure known for her warmth, resilience, and infectious spirit. Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she touched throughout her life.

Jackie was raised in Daly City, where she attended Westborough and Skyline, becoming a vibrant and passionate woman who lived life on her own terms. She was admired for her fierce independence and her unique ability to find joy in every situation, a trait that endeared her to all who knew her.

Her family was the cornerstone of her life. Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Chris, and their children, Jeannice (Justin Bowles), Matthew, Chris Jr., and Angelica. Her grandson, Liam, brought her immeasurable joy. Jackie also maintained close relationships with her sisters-in-law Christine and Joyce, and her uncle Rueben, affectionately known as Uncle Butch.

The news of Jackie’s passing has deeply affected those who knew her. In response to this tragic loss, her close friend and coworker, Sheryl Sablan, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Jackie’s loved ones during this difficult time. Sheryl, who fondly remembered Jackie’s zest for life and love for playing slots at casinos, expressed her sorrow in a heartfelt Facebook post, encouraging others to contribute to the cause.

As of now, the campaign has raised $700 toward its $20,000 goal, with contributions from community members who were moved by Jackie’s story. The Balingit family has expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
