East Providence, RI – Darren Rezendes, a beloved resident of East Providence and a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Rhode Island Hospital, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2024. His sudden departure has left his family, friends, and the community in deep mourning.

In the wake of his untimely passing, Darren’s wife, Brianna Rezendes, has organized a GoFundMe campaign titled "Help Us Lay Darren to Rest." The fundraiser seeks to raise $6,000 to cover the costs of his funeral and memorial services. As of now, $395 has been raised through six donations, with contributions from individuals such as Ashley Silva, Bonita Valles, and Robert Gonsalves.
