Jayse Hines, Des Moines, Iowa – The community is in mourning following the unexpected death of Jayse Hines, a beloved resident of Des Moines. The news of his passing was shared widely across social media, sparking an outpouring of grief and condolences from friends and family.

Elyssa Springer, a close friend of Jayse, expressed her sorrow on Facebook, "Jayse, I miss you so much it hurts. I can’t yet accept the fact that you’re not here anymore. I feel so grateful to have known you and so lucky to have been your friend. I’ll miss how competitive you were when it came to phase 10, our weekly or even daily FaceTime calls where we would talk about anything and everything, and our shared love for trivia, 2000s pop music, and The Hunger Games. We had so many amazing times together between the Friday afternoon movie days in Ames, being neighbors in Ankeny, and every single dinner, game night, or joint birthday party we had. I would give anything to see your smile again and I’ll forever cherish every single memory I had with you. Your friend forever, Lyss."

Other friends and family also shared their condolences:

Jayse’s passing was confirmed by numerous social media posts, though the cause of his death remains unknown at this time. A close friend mentioned, "Hey friends for those who don’t know we lost a member of our Big Creek family this last weekend, please keep Jayse Hines friends and family in your thoughts and prayers."

The family has yet to announce the funeral arrangements but plans to share the details soon. The community continues to come together, supporting each other in this time of grief and remembering the positive impact Jayse had on their lives.
