Dimitra Kalamaras Remembered by Kingston, NY Community Following Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Kingston, NY – The community of Kingston is mourning the loss of Dimitra Kalamaras, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on August 13, 2024. Dimitra was a beloved figure in the area, known for her warmth, kindness, and deep love for her family and friends.

Dimitra Kalamaras was more than just a resident of Kingston; she was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her sudden passing has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. As the community comes to terms with this loss, many have taken to social media to express their grief and support for Dimitra’s family.

On Facebook, Marcus Jordan shared his thoughts, writing, "My bunch, are so strong. I love them to death. Rest easy Dimitra Kalamaras. We know you got us! Thank you to everyone for your support over this difficult time." Other friends and acquaintances echoed these sentiments. Annetta Childs posted, "My condolences to you and your family," while Robin Lanet offered a heartfelt prayer: "Father God, in the Name of Jesus…in their moments of weakness, grant them strength! When they feel lost, guide them. Help them face the challenges before them with confidence and faith. I love you guys and you will get through this together Amen."

Vanessa Perez also expressed her sorrow, stating, "Rest easy Dimitra Kalamaras, you will truly be missed! I’m praying every single day for you guys!" Meanwhile, DeAnna Hughes and Donny Spann both sent their deepest condolences to Dimitra’s family during this difficult time.

In honor of Dimitra’s life, her family has organized services where friends and loved ones can pay their respects. The wake will be held on Friday, August 23rd, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 24th, at 10:00 a.m. at Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church, also in Poughkeepsie, with the burial taking place at Linlithgo Reformed Church of Livingston in Hudson, NY. A reception will be held afterward at the Son’s & Daughter’s of Italy in Hudson.

To support Dimitra’s family during this challenging time, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses and provide for her children. The community’s response has been overwhelming, showing the deep impact Dimitra had on those around her.

As the community gathers to remember Dimitra, her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be a beacon of light in the hearts of her loved ones.
