Donna Vogt, a 70-year-old resident of Hamilton, Ohio, tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident in Butler County on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The accident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 128 and Southern Hills Drive, where Vogt was a passenger on a motorcycle that was struck by a Chevy van.
According to reports from the Butler County Coroner’s Office, Vogt sustained multiple traumatic injuries when the van, making a left turn, failed to yield to the motorcycle. The collision with the van’s front left corner resulted in Vogt’s death at the scene. The motorcycle driver, identified as Donna’s husband, Bret Vogt, was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The condition of the van driver, who also sustained injuries, has not been updated.
Shane Turner, Donna’s cousin, expressed his grief on Facebook, sharing, "My cousin Donna Vogt, passed away last night in a motorcycle/car wreck. A car pulled out in front of them. Her husband Bret is in ICU, don’t have much on his situation. My heart and good vibes go out to her family. She was a great lady. I love her so much."
