Edmonson County, Kentucky – Ernest Cline, an 83-year-old resident of Bowling Green, was found dead from gunshot wounds in his bed early Sunday morning in Edmonson County. The tragic incident was reported by the Kentucky State Police.
Authorities responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. to assist the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office at a residence on The Bridge Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Cline had been fatally shot.
Damien Worrell, an 18-year-old, has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Worrell faces charges of murder and robbery and is currently being held at the Hart County Detention Center. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing.
