Etta Colville, Beloved Kirkcaldy Resident, Passes Away Peacefully at 84 Surrounded by Family at Victoria Hospital

Kirkcaldy, Scotland – Etta Colville, a cherished member of the Kirkcaldy community, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Etta was surrounded by her loving family at Victoria Hospital when she took her last breath, marking the end of a life filled with love, dedication, and service to those around her.

Etta Colville was the beloved wife of Harry Colville, with whom she shared a life of mutual love and support. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising their children David, Nina, Beverly, Mandy, and the late Andrew. Etta’s role as a mother was central to her life, and she treasured every moment spent with her children.

Beyond her role as a mother, Etta was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, offering guidance, love, and unwavering support to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her presence in their lives was a source of strength and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Etta’s kindness extended beyond her immediate family. She was also a beloved mother-in-law and a loyal friend, often referred to as a "bestie" by those closest to her. Her compassionate and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service to celebrate Etta Colville’s life will be held at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service to honor and remember the significant contributions Etta made to her family and community. The family has requested that only flowers from the family be presented, in accordance with Etta’s wishes.

The passing of Etta Colville is a profound loss for her family, friends, and the entire Kirkcaldy community. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. The family expressed their deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences they have received during this difficult time.
