Family and Friends in Vincennes, Indiana Mourn the Passing of Theresa White, a Devoted Mother and Nurse

Vincennes, Indiana – Theresa White, born Theresa McCullough on March 14, 1947, in Vincennes, IN, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. The community mourns the loss of a woman who was deeply committed to her family and her work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Theresa was the youngest of three sisters, raised in a loving home by her parents, John and Zella McCullough. She excelled academically at St. Rose Academy, where she graduated in 1965, before pursuing her nursing career at Vincennes University. Her dedication to her profession was evident as she balanced her career with raising her three sons, John, Roland, and David, as a single mother.

Theresa’s life took a turn when she met Robin White, an English business traveler, while working in Indianapolis. Their shared love for sailing, golf, and travel led to a marriage that would see them eventually relocating to England. Despite the distance, Theresa maintained close ties with her family in the United States, making annual trips to visit and continue the cherished tradition of dining at Texas Roadhouse and playing golf at Cool Lake.

Her pride in her family was a central theme in her life, often sharing stories about her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Theresa’s ability to stay connected with loved ones, even from afar, was bolstered by her use of social media, a testament to her adaptability and commitment to family.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Robin White, her sisters Mary Martin and Joan McMillen, her sons John, Roland, and David, her stepson and stepdaughter, as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A committal service is scheduled for September 28, 2024, at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Vincennes, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.

The Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is assisting the White family during this difficult time, reflecting the community’s respect and support for a life well-lived. Theresa White’s passing is a significant loss to all who knew her, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and dedication.
