Fresno, California – Larry Charles Mitchell, a 58-year-old resident of Fresno, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident that took place in a parking lot near Manchester Mall on Friday morning.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. outside the Planet Fitness located at Blackstone and Dakota avenues. According to reports, Mitchell was struck by a vehicle after an interaction with a woman driving a red car. The driver immediately fled the scene, heading south on Blackstone Avenue.
Mitchell was found injured at the scene by police and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with detectives gathering surveillance footage from nearby businesses and interviewing witnesses to determine whether the collision was intentional. As of now, no further details about the suspect have been released.
