Gallup Police Seek Information on Colton Bahe, Missing Person and Suspect in Rio West Mall Shooting

Gallup, New Mexico – The Gallup Police Department is actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Colton Bahe, who has been reported missing since July 28, 2024, and is also wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at Rio West Mall on July 26, 2024.

According to the Gallup Police Department, officers were dispatched to the mall, located at 1300 West Maloney Avenue, at approximately 5:45 AM on July 26 in response to a report of a shooting. The incident left one victim with a gunshot wound. The suspect vehicle involved in the incident has been identified as a white Chrysler 200 with Arizona license plate V3A413, which has visible damage to the front driver’s door. The vehicle is possibly owned by Melric Nelson, who, along with Colton Bahe, is being sought by the authorities.

Bahe’s disappearance just two days after the shooting has raised concerns, and the police are urging anyone with information on his or Nelson’s whereabouts to come forward.
