George Beal, Missing 78-Year-Old from Ogden, Utah, Safely Located After Community Effort

Ogden, Utah – George Beal, a 78-year-old resident of Ogden, Utah, who was reported missing earlier today, has been safely located, according to the Ogden Police Department. Beal, who may be in the early stages of dementia, was last seen leaving his residence on Mazey Lane at approximately 11:30 AM on August 21, 2024.

The search for Beal prompted a Utah Silver Alert, with the community and authorities joining forces to locate him. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, grey sweatpants, tennis shoes, and possibly a black San Francisco 49ers hat.

The Ogden Police Department expressed their gratitude to everyone in the community who assisted in the search. "Thank you to everyone within the community that shared this post and assisted in looking for George. He has been located and is safe. This demonstrates amazing community engagement to support one another," the department stated in a Facebook post.

Several community members also shared their relief and support on social media. Judy Brown Hunsaker commented, "He has been found," while others like Donna Gardner-Cappello, Kris Starkey, Jess Russell, Yvette Flores Wallin, Daniella S. Gutierrez Waltz, and Hannah Brianne Worton contributed by sharing the information.
