Maria, who was just 14 at the time of her disappearance, was last seen in Phoenix, Arizona.
Maria Lazaro-Avila is described as 5’08" tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Despite extensive search efforts, authorities believe she may still be in the Phoenix area.
The Gila River Police Department recently renewed their appeal to the public, urging anyone with information about Maria’s whereabouts to come forward. The department posted a Missing Person Alert on social media, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. "If you have any information about Maria’s whereabouts, please contact the Gila River Police Department immediately," the post read.
The post has garnered widespread attention on Facebook, where numerous community members have expressed their concern. Many have shared heartfelt messages, hoping for Maria’s safe return.
