Gila River Police Department Urgently Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Missing 14-Year-Old Marie Brown from Sacaton, Arizona

Sacaton, Arizona – The Gila River Police Department has issued an urgent missing person alert for 14-year-old Marie Brown, a member of the Gila River Indian Community. Marie was last seen at the Boys & Girls Club in Sacaton on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at approximately 6:00 PM.

Marie Brown is described as standing 5 feet tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black shorts, and checkered Vans shoes. She was also carrying a black backpack at the time of her disappearance.

The Gila River Police Department has requested that anyone with information regarding Marie’s whereabouts contact them immediately at (520) 562-4511. Additionally, individuals can text tips to 911. The department has limited who can comment on the official post about Marie’s disappearance, likely to control the spread of misinformation.

As the search intensifies, the community is rallying around the Brown family, with many expressing their concern and support on social media. One community member shared on Facebook, "Praying for Marie’s safe return. Our hearts are with the family during this difficult time." Another wrote, "If you see anything or hear anything, please report it immediately. We need to bring Marie home."
