Skyler Williams, a beloved resident of Granville Township, Illinois, has tragically passed away. His death has left the community in mourning as friends and family prepare to say their final goodbyes. Skyler was known by many as Andrew Williams and worked at The Krusty Krab. He was also a proud alumnus of Putnam County High School and IVCC Community College.
Skyler’s passing was confirmed by Christina Yocum, who shared the heartbreaking news on her social media. She revealed that Skyler was currently undergoing tissue harvesting with the Gift of Hope, and once this process is complete, the Peoria County Coroner is expected to conduct an autopsy due to his young age. Following this, Skyler will be transported from Peoria to Granville, where arrangements for his funeral will be made. A Celebration of Life is also planned for a later date.
In a touching update on Facebook, Christina Yocum requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to assist with the funeral expenses. Contributions can be sent to either Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel or directly to Christina Croissant, who is handling the arrangements.
Sheri Mosell Smith, a close friend, expressed her condolences on Facebook, saying, "I’m sooooo sorry 2 hear this. U and ur family will b in our prayers." This sentiment reflects the deep sorrow felt by those who knew Skyler.
Skyler’s passing has deeply affected the Granville community, and the outpouring of support from friends and neighbors is a testament to the impact he had on those around him. As the community prepares to honor his memory, Skyler’s family and loved ones continue to receive support during this difficult time.
