Summersville, WV – Gwendolyn Retta Dobson passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on August 26, 2024, leaving her family and friends in deep sorrow. Gwendolyn’s sons, Nathan and Gareth Jordan, are now seeking support to give their beloved mother a fitting farewell.
Nathan Jordan, one of Gwendolyn’s two surviving sons, shared the heartbreaking news and organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her funeral service. The family is currently struggling to gather the necessary funds to ensure Gwendolyn’s peaceful sendoff. As of now, the fundraiser has raised $700 of its $7,100 goal, with donations from individuals like Kristian Knudsen and Adam Casey.
Rebecca Couch, a friend of the family, expressed her condolences on Facebook, sharing, "Two of our son’s best friends lost their mother yesterday, very unexpectedly. If you can help by donating any amount for her service/funeral costs, and/or sharing this post in hopes that someone else can, that would be a blessing."
Gareth Jordan responded to Rebecca’s post, thanking her for her support, to which she replied, "You’re welcome sweetie. Wish we could do more. We all love you and Nathan, and are praying for you both."
