Hamilton Community Mourns as Missing Elderly Woman, Jessica Littler, Found Deceased After Search

Hamilton, Waikato, NZ – The search for 77-year-old Jessica Littler, who was reported missing earlier this week, has ended in tragedy. Mrs. Littler, whose car was found at Hamilton Gardens, was discovered deceased on August 8, 2024, leaving her family and the local community in deep mourning.

Jessica Littler was last seen on the evening of August 7, 2024. Her family reported her missing, prompting an urgent search by the Hamilton Police. Concern for her welfare grew after her car, a blue Honda Jazz with registration number NWP799, was located at the Hamilton Gardens gate 1 car park. Despite efforts to find her, the news of her passing has devastated all who knew her.

The sad news was confirmed by the New Zealand Missing Persons page, which posted an update expressing condolences to Mrs. Littler’s family: "*** UPDATE! ~ SADLY MRS LITTLER HAS BEEN FOUND DECEASED. OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO HER FAMILY ~ RIP ***"

The community has been sharing their grief and sympathy on social media. Roheeta Singh wrote, “RIP Jessica, you will be missed.” Jaydo Eskybarz echoed the sentiment, stating, "Very sad. Condolences to the family."

Esther Cherie also expressed her sorrow, saying, "So very sad. So very sad a video of the incident is heart-breaking." This comment reflects the widespread sadness felt by the community over the loss of Mrs. Littler.

The Hamilton Police had appealed for any sightings of Mrs. Littler or her car after she was reported missing. They urged anyone who might have seen her since Wednesday evening to come forward. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the outcome has brought heartbreak to all involved.

The entire Hamilton community is in mourning as they come to terms with the loss of a beloved elderly resident. Mrs. Littler’s passing is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of community support in times of crisis.
