Harlingen Resident Clarissa Hinojosa Passes Away Unexpectedly, Family Seeks Support for Funeral Services

Harlingen, Texas – The community of Harlingen is coming together to support the family of Clarissa Hinojosa, who tragically and unexpectedly passed away on August 27, 2024. Clarissa’s family is currently raising funds to cover the costs of her funeral services, as they seek to honor her memory with a proper burial.

A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Sandra González, who shared the heartbreaking news of Clarissa’s passing and expressed the family’s deep gratitude for any support they receive. The fundraiser, which was created yesterday, has so far raised $420 out of its $12,000 goal, with three donations made within the first 24 hours.

Sandra González posted on the GoFundMe page, "We are deeply heartbroken to share the news that my mother, Clarissa Hinojosa, has recently and unexpectedly passed away. We kindly and wholeheartedly ask for any donation, no matter the amount, or simply the sharing of this post."

The outpouring of support has been seen on social media, where friends and community members have shared the fundraiser in an effort to help the family reach their goal.

One Facebook user, who shared the GoFundMe link, commented, "I’m sharing this GoFundMe for Clarissa Hinojosa’s funeral services. It’s really heartbreaking to see the family going through such a tough time after her unexpected passing. They’re asking for any help they can get, whether it’s a donation or just sharing this post. Let’s come together and support them in honoring her memory."

Donations to the fundraiser include $100 from Asher Perez, $300 from Ofelia Lopez, and $20 from an anonymous donor.

The family is deeply appreciative of the community’s support during this difficult time and hopes to reach their fundraising goal to provide Clarissa with a respectful and dignified farewell.
