Hellertown, PA – The Saucon Valley community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jaxon Rio "Ziggy" Phetsavanh, a vibrant 17-year-old from Hellertown, who tragically passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Lower Nazareth Township. Jaxon, who was preparing to enter his senior year at Saucon Valley High School, was a beloved student known for his enthusiasm, kindness, and bright future in robotics.
Jaxon’s sudden passing has deeply impacted his family, friends, and the entire community. He was an active member of the Saucon Valley Robotics Club, where he passionately worked on projects, hoping to excel in the upcoming state competition. His dedication to his craft and his warm personality made him a cherished figure in the school and beyond.
Born on June 6, 2007, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Jaxon was the beloved son of Rebecca M. (Wagner) and Phetsamone Phetsavanh. He was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hellertown and is remembered fondly by those who knew him. Jaxon is survived by his siblings, Trinity A. and Phoenix J.N., and his grandparents, as well as his beloved pets, Mango, Luna, and Koa.
The community has rallied around Jaxon’s family during this difficult time, offering condolences and sharing memories. On Facebook, Gordana Tajna expressed her deep sorrow, writing, "It breaks my heart to read this. My heart and my prayers go to your family to find a way to cope with the loss. Rachel Lynn, who interacted with Jaxon regularly in the middle school cafeteria, shared, "He was a very sweet boy, and always smiling. My heart is breaking for him and his family." Becka Marie, a close family member, poignantly stated, "My baby boy. Forever 17. Iām so very lost without him. My heart is broken."

His visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Steel Club in Hellertown, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12 noon. This gathering will honor and remember the incredible life of Jaxon Rio "Ziggy" Phetsavanh, who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
