High Point, North Carolina – The High Point Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Mikaylah Alexis Wilson, who has been missing since the evening of August 3, 2024. Mikaylah, last seen wearing a black shirt adorned with colorful art and science logos and the word “Black,” has not been in contact with her family or friends since 11:00 p.m. that night. Alarmingly, she does not have her phone or wallet with her.
Mikaylah’s disappearance has sparked concern and prayers across the community, with many taking to social media to express their hopes for her safe return. The AWARE Foundation, Inc. has also joined the search, sharing the missing juvenile alert widely in Downtown High Point and beyond.
Community members have been vocal on Facebook, expressing their concern and prayers. Pam Westbrook shared simply, "Prayers," while Melanie Basham added, "Praying that she is found safe and soon!" Many others echoed these sentiments, including Theresa Lawhorne, who noted the troubling fact that Mikaylah didn’t have her phone, saying, "She didn’t take her phone? Prayers for her return home safely."
Crystal Clark Stilwell raised concerns about the circumstances, writing, "Number one why was a 15-year-old allowed out at 11 o’clock at night? Praying for her safe return and better parental engagement in her life."
