Homicide Investigation Leads to Arrest and Discovery of Brooke Killings’ Remains Near Chattanooga

Chattanooga, Tennessee – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating the tragic homicide of 33-year-old Brooke Killings, whose remains were discovered just off Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia. This discovery comes after a detailed investigation following her disappearance on August 19, 2024.

On that morning, Chattanooga Police responded to a call regarding a possible missing person in the 300 block of Crestway Drive. Information provided by a witness suggested that a murder had occurred at the residence. The witness indicated that Brooke Killings was last seen on August 17th at Diamond Billiards with her boyfriend, 29-year-old Demarcus Napier.

Video evidence confirmed that Brooke and Demarcus were together at Diamond Billiards and later left in a Volkswagen Atlas. Further investigation revealed that Ms. Killings’ phone traveled from Diamond Billiards to the residence on Crestway Drive, where her family reported she had previously experienced domestic violence at the hands of Demarcus Napier.

The Chattanooga Police Department’s Homicide Unit, supported by the Crime Scene Unit, obtained a search warrant for the residence. Inside, they found blood in several locations, confirming an apparent crime scene. Using forensic blood reagents, investigators identified multiple areas with blood evidence. It was determined that Ms. Killings suffered a fatal wound, and her body was later moved from the crime scene.

On August 20th, Demarcus Napier was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide. The following day, using various investigative techniques, authorities located Brooke Killings’ remains with the assistance of the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The tragic death of Brooke Killings has resonated deeply with the community, as reflected in numerous social media posts. Lauren Clabo expressed, "Rest in peace Brooke. I’ll never forget the memories from when we were younger." Shari Hooks praised the efforts of the Chattanooga Police Department, saying, "Great job CPD! Now may the family grieve & heal. Will be praying for them."

As the investigation continues, the Chattanooga Police Department and the community mourn the loss of Brooke Killings, whose life was cut short by this senseless act of violence.
