Jacksonville Authorities Continue Search for Missing 36-Year-Old Joseph Louis Valasquez Jr., Last Seen Leaving Assisted Living Residence

Jacksonville, Florida — Authorities in Jacksonville are intensifying their search for Joseph Louis Valasquez Jr., a 36-year-old man who has been missing since August 18, 2024. Valasquez was last seen leaving an assisted living residence, located in the 32209 area of Duval County, and has not been heard from since.

Joseph Valasquez Jr., who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds, was reported missing shortly after his disappearance. He is described as a white male with black hair, brown eyes, and he is known to wear glasses. At the time of his last sighting, he was wearing a plaid jacket, black shorts, black flip-flops, and his glasses.

The NamUs case for Valasquez was officially created on August 19, 2024, just a day after he was last seen. Despite the prompt reporting and ongoing efforts by local authorities, there has been no significant breakthrough in locating him.

Joseph Valasquez Jr.’s disappearance has left his family and the community deeply concerned, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Jacksonville Police Department. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
