James "Butch" Kent Thayer Jr., Beloved Orlando Resident, Passes Away at Age 65, Leaving a Legacy of Faith and Family

Orlando, FL – James "Butch" Kent Thayer Jr., a dedicated family man and devout Christian, passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on May 5, 1959, in Orlando, FL, Jim, as he was affectionately known, was deeply rooted in his faith and family values.

Jim leaves behind his father, Jim Thayer Sr., his beloved wife, Adriana M. Thayer, and a large family that includes his children and siblings. His early years were marked by service in the Air Force, where he earned multiple commendations, including the "Good Conduct Medal" and the "Longevity Service Award."

Known for his hard work and zest for life, Jim enjoyed activities such as fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a loving father and husband, known for his generosity and love of cooking, especially his famous green chili.

A memorial service will be held in the coming weeks to honor his life. Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Jim’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire.
