Killeen, Texas – Jesse Miles, 51, and Anthony McKoy, 35, were tragically identified as the victims of a deadly shooting that took place on July 31 on Adams Avenue in Killeen. Killeen police responded to the scene around 11:45 p.m., where they found Miles suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate medical assistance before paramedics arrived and transported Miles to Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital. Unfortunately, Miles was pronounced dead shortly after, at 12:29 a.m. on August 1, by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson.
In a related development, two additional victims—a 35-year-old man, later identified as Anthony McKoy, and a 30-year-old woman—arrived at a nearby emergency facility with gunshot injuries. McKoy was also taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital, where he was declared dead by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 1:15 a.m. on August 1. The female victim was transported to Advent Health Central Texas, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
