Joe McCann, Beloved Edinburgh Resident and Telford/Glasgow University Graduate, Passes Away Peacefully

Edinburgh, UK – The community of Edinburgh is mourning the loss of Joe McCann, a cherished husband, father, and friend, who passed away peacefully. Joe McCann, a graduate of Telford/Glasgow University and an esteemed member of the Leinster Motor Club, was known for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering spirit. His passing has left a significant void in the lives of all who knew him.

Joe’s family, including his wife Joan and daughters Siobhan and Rebecca, are deeply devastated by his loss. They remember him as an extraordinary individual whose presence was a blessing to everyone around him. Joe’s impact on the community was far-reaching, with many remembering his contributions to Sporting Trials Ireland and his involvement in various motor clubs.

Tributes have poured in from friends and community members. The Motor Enthusiasts’ Club expressed their sorrow, stating, "He was the most amazing Husband, Dad, and friend we could have ever asked for. We are devastated to lose such an incredible soul from our lives."

Stuart Ferguson, a friend, commented, "A quiet Gentleman, many happy memories. RIP Joe." Others, like John Nolan, simply shared, "R.I.P. Joe, great memories," while Philip Clarke, Olwen Naismith, and John Farrar echoed similar sentiments of grief and condolences.

Joe McCann’s funeral will be held at Warriston Crematorium in Edinburgh on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather at Scotmid Funeral Directors on Forrester Park Drive before the procession to the crematorium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to FACE (Fighting Against Cancer Edinburgh), a charity close to Joe’s heart. Following the service, friends and family are invited to The Wash on the Mound to celebrate Joe’s life.
