Joe’s Mother Passes Away Due to Stroke in Milwaukee; Community Rallies to Support Funeral Costs

Milwaukee, WI – Joe’s mother passed away early on the morning of August 26, 2024, due to health complications following a stroke. As the family mourns their loss, the community is stepping up to support them in this difficult time.

A fundraiser organized by Ben Follensbee aims to help cover the funeral costs and provide financial assistance to Joe and his sister as they take time to grieve. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $1,310 out of a $10,000 goal, with contributions from 19 donors. The family is also seeking financial assistance in the form of a loan to cover the immediate costs.

Ben Follensbee shared his thoughts on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the support received so far. He wrote, "The sadness of this circumstance does not eclipse the gratitude Joe, his family, and myself feel for those of you who have already contributed. We have made it to about a 5th of the way to our goal in just a day, the family is applying for financial assistance, in the form of a loan, so they can proceed with final arrangements, but they will need to repay this loan and will have incidental expenses with missed work. A million thanks to our current contributors, please consider joining us in uplifting our friend in this terrible time by making a donation or sharing the link."

He also informed the community of Joe’s mother’s passing and requested further support. "Hi everyone, as some of you are aware, Joe’s mom passed away early yesterday morning (8/26) due to health complications that resulted from a stroke. At this time I am asking for donations on behalf of Joe and his family to help with funeral costs as well as offering financial support for Joe and his sister as they take time to grieve. We will be updating you all as funeral arrangements are made in the coming days. Thank you for your condolences and support."

The outpouring of support from the community has been significant, with donations ranging from $100 to $200, reflecting the solidarity of friends and neighbors during this trying time. Joe and his family are deeply appreciative of the help and compassion shown by their community as they navigate this period of loss.
