The fundraiser, titled "Help Us Remember Johnny Alvarez’s Legacy," has raised $95 out of a $6,000 goal with contributions from individuals such as Berndette Lux, Diana Gomez, Camila Campos, Daniel Solorio, and Maricela Deason.

The heartbreaking news of Johnny Alvarez’s passing has led to an outpouring of support on social media. Maribel Petricciolli shared her grief on Facebook, expressing, "With hurt, I hate to share this broken news. On behalf of my mother I would like to kindly reach out and ask for a quick share or donation for our loving father. With words I cannot fathom out—a huge tragedy struck our family. We ask if you can please keep our entire family in prayers. Johnny Alvarez will always be remembered. We love you dad. Always and Forever."

Other friends and loved ones also took to Facebook to express their condolences. Benny Anderson simply wrote, "My Condolences," while Candy Fernandez Alfaro added, "Much prayers for your family." Valerie Vargas sent "Prayers going up for the familia," and many others, including Bonnie Zagata Mathews and Josie Flores, shared their sympathies and support for the family during this difficult time.
