Visalia, California – The Visalia community is reeling after the tragic discovery of Jorge Zavala, 35, found dead on the 1100 block of West Walnut Avenue on the morning of Thursday, August 15, 2024. On Friday, August 16, 2024, Ricardo Perez, 36, was arrested by the Visalia Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, assisted by the HOPE Unit, in the area of Houston Avenue and Giddings Street. Following this, 27-year-old Angel Gomez was apprehended at a residence on North Quince Street in Exeter. Both suspects have been charged with homicide and are currently in custody.
