Redondo Beach, CA – Krissy Carlos, who had been in a vegetative state since suffering cardiac arrest and brain hypoxia in October 2023, passed away early Sunday morning on August 25, 2024. She was 39 years old. Her sister, Jesseca Carlos, has announced a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of Krissy’s burial and memorial services.
Krissy’s final moments were spent in the arms of her mother, who had been by her bedside day and night. The family expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Krissy but found solace in knowing she is no longer suffering. "We are heartbroken beyond words of Krissy’s passing but understand that she is no longer suffering and living in agony," shared Jesseca.
The GoFundMe campaign, titled "Honor Krissy Carlos with a Proper Farewell," aims to raise $8,000 to support the family’s efforts to lay Krissy to rest in a manner befitting the love and joy she brought to those around her. So far, $320 has been raised through six donations. Contributors include April Bushneff and Juan Sanchez-Guardado, among others.
Friends and family took to Facebook to share their condolences and memories. Stephanie Urdahl commented, "39 years young RIP," reflecting the sentiment of many who knew Krissy.
The Carlos family appreciates the outpouring of support and is grateful for the prayers and donations they have received during this difficult time.
