Lakeland, FL – The Lakeland community is mourning the loss of Andy Cashbaugh, a beloved member of the Lakeland Bassmasters, who passed away on August 10, 2024, at Good Shepherd Hospice. Andy Cashbaugh was a dedicated member of the club for over 20 years, serving in various roles, including Treasurer, even after health issues prevented him from participating in fishing activities.
Andy Cashbaugh’s contributions to the Lakeland Bassmasters were significant and deeply appreciated. His involvement in the club continued long after he was no longer able to fish, reflecting his unwavering commitment to the organization and its members. The club expressed their sorrow in a heartfelt tribute, stating, “Mr. Cashbaugh was a 20+ year member and continued to be involved in the club, serving as Treasurer for several years, well after he was no longer able to fish due to health issues. He will be missed by not only LBM members, but everyone else whose life he touched.”
To honor his memory, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on September 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the May Manor MHP Clubhouse, located at 340 N Brunnell Parkway, Lakeland, FL. Former and current members of the Lakeland Bassmasters, along with friends and family, are encouraged to attend. Attendees are invited to wear their Lakeland Bassmasters jerseys as a tribute to Andy’s enduring spirit and his significant role within the club.
