Las Vegas Man, Damani Dennis, Missing in France Since March 2024 After Meeting Online Contact

Damani Dennis, a 24-year-old resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, has been missing since March 2024 after traveling to France in November 2023 to meet a woman he had connected with online. His family last heard from him in March, when he suddenly stopped requesting money and ceased all communication.

Damani had initially been in regular contact with his family after his arrival in France, but this abruptly ended, leaving his loved ones desperate for answers. The woman, known only as Leslie, reportedly lives near Lyons, France, with her mother. Damani mentioned that Leslie had friends who worked at a warehouse where he might find employment, but since then, he has vanished without a trace.

Friends and concerned individuals have taken to social media to spread the word in hopes of locating Damani. Zee Gibbs, a friend of Damani, shared on Facebook, "This is 24-year-old Damani Dennis. On 11/25/23, he left his home in Las Vegas to catch a flight to France to meet a girl he met online that his family knows nothing about other than her name being Leslie. Damani has not been seen by his family since November 2023… Please share this post so it may get to France! Someone must know who this girl is by discovering her identity it may help recover what has happened to Damani since he left the United States. Please SHARE."

Other users on Facebook have also expressed their concern and skepticism. Gerald Stoudamire commented, "I doubt that’s even her name." Another user, Angel Ly’Nique, questioned the delay in raising the alarm, stating, "You just now saying something in almost September and you haven’t heard from him in 5 months!?"

Suggestions have been made by others on social media, such as contacting the U.S. Embassy in France, and checking hospitals and jails. Gina Corvia shared that the post had been cross-posted in a French page, hoping to increase the chances of finding any leads.

Damani’s disappearance has left his family and friends in a state of distress, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the potential dangers of online connections and the urgent need for international cooperation in locating missing persons.
