Laurel Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Man, Gendir Lopez Alvarez, Last Seen on August 10 in Baltimore Avenue Area

Laurel, Maryland – The Laurel Police Department is urgently seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Gendir Lopez Alvarez, a 32-year-old Hispanic male who has been missing since August 10, 2024. Alvarez was last seen at approximately 3:00 PM near the 14700 block of Baltimore Avenue after leaving his workplace, New Again Body Works, located at 14713 Baltimore Ave.

Alvarez is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Despite an extensive search, there has been no trace of him since his disappearance, and the police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Concerns have been raised on social media, with users like Andrea Salguero questioning the delay in reporting Alvarez missing, wondering, "Why report him missing 12 days later?" Other community members, such as Bonnie Wheeler Marquez, have offered prayers for his safe return, while others are inquiring about possible clues from surveillance cameras and his coworkers.
