Los Angeles Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Locating Missing 77-Year-Old Ki Soo Yang Near La Canada Flintridge

La Canada Flintridge, California – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is urgently seeking public assistance in locating 77-year-old Ki Soo Yang, who has been reported missing. Yang, a Korean male, was last in contact on August 17, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m. near Angeles Crest Highway and mile marker 58 in La Canada Flintridge.

Yang is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a green windbreaker, hiking boots, a gray hat, a gray and green backpack, and sunglasses. The Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit, along with Yang’s concerned family, has issued a plea for anyone with information to come forward.

Yang’s disappearance has garnered attention on social media, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sharing a post asking for the community’s help. One commenter, Awaludinnur, expressed sadness, writing, "So very sad."

The family is particularly worried about Yang’s wellbeing, given the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.
