Los Angeles Community Mourns the Loss of Firefighter Paramedic Dustin Roberto from Fire Station 93 in Palmdale

Dustin Roberto, Palmdale, California – The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) is grieving the loss of one of its dedicated members, Fire Fighter Paramedic (FFPM) Dustin Roberto, who passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer. Roberto, who faithfully served at Fire Station 93 in Palmdale, was a respected figure in the department and the community he served for nearly five years.

Roberto’s commitment to his work and his community was evident in his daily actions. His compassion, bravery, and professionalism earned him the admiration of his colleagues and the residents of Palmdale. The announcement of his passing has sent waves of sorrow throughout the LACoFD, with Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone initiating support efforts for the Roberto family and department personnel. The department’s chaplains, Peer Support team, behavioral health clinicians, and Memorial Management team have all been mobilized to provide necessary care during this difficult time.

The outpouring of grief and respect for Roberto is evident in the numerous tributes shared on social media. One Facebook user, Fran Mullin Kubes, simply stated, "Rest in peace," echoing the sentiments of many who admired Roberto’s service. Tim Rollogas also expressed his sorrow, commenting, "Condolences to the family."
