Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public Help in Locating Missing Hiker Rafael Orozco Bravo in Castaic

Los Angeles, California – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Rafael Orozco Bravo, a 45-year-old man who has been missing since August 3, 2024. Rafael was last seen around 9 p.m. on the 39000 block of Golden State Highway in Castaic, a small town located in northern Los Angeles County.

Rafael Orozco Bravo, a Hispanic male, stands at 5’02” tall, weighs approximately 140 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red sweater and blue jeans. Notably, Rafael also has a burn scar on his chest, which may help in identifying him.

Authorities have expressed concern for Rafael’s well-being as he is considered an at-risk missing person. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit has been actively investigating the case, but so far, Rafael remains missing, raising significant concern among family, friends, and the local community.

The Sheriff’s Department has urged anyone with information regarding Rafael’s whereabouts to come forward. Individuals can contact the department’s Missing Persons Unit directly at (323) 890-5500.
