Madera County Authorities Continue Search for Bessie Anne Wlos, Missing Since January 2023

Madera, California – Bessie Anne Wlos, a 46-year-old woman, has been missing since January 1, 2023. Her family and local authorities are growing increasingly concerned as more than a year has passed without any contact.

Bessie, who is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs between 130 to 135 pounds, was last heard from by her brother over the phone. The conversation, which took place over a year ago, marks the last known contact anyone has had with her. Before that, her last confirmed activity was in Madera County in 2021.

The Madera County authorities officially opened her case on August 15, 2024, and are actively investigating her disappearance. Bessie is described as a Black/African American female with black curly hair and brown eyes. There are no known distinctive physical features or clothing details available from the time of her disappearance.

Bessie’s family is deeply concerned, having had no contact with her for such an extended period. Her disappearance remains a mystery, and the community in Madera County is urged to come forward with any information that might assist in locating her.
