Thibodaux, Louisiana – Madison Frances Harford Naquin, 31, passed away on August 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with Metastatic Melanoma. Madison was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who touched the lives of many in her community.
A visitation will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 8:30 AM until the service time at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held later in her hometown of Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Born on June 26, 1993, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, Madison was the daughter of Paul Harford and Melissa Cheney. She grew up in Sayre, where she graduated from high school in 2011. During her high school years and beyond, she worked at the Original Italian Grille, where she met her future husband, Seth Naquin. The couple married and relocated to Thibodaux, Louisiana, in 2016, where they raised their two children, Kielen Michael Naquin and Kinley Anna Naquin.
Madison had a passion for gardening, cooking, antique shopping, and music, especially singing. She was known for her compassion towards others, always putting the needs of people and animals before her own. Her friends fondly remember her as the life of the party, even if she was occasionally late.
Her passing has left a profound impact on her community, and many have taken to social media to express their condolences. Breanna Kay shared on Facebook, "Condolences to the family. Maddie was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet." Another friend, Maxine Rodrigue Morvant, wrote, "Love you, Maddie. Prayers for Seth, Kielen, Kinley, and all her family and friends." Linda Bernard George added, "Praying for strength and comfort for her sweet family and friends. May she rest in peace in heaven, and may God bless her lil family."
Madison is survived by her husband, Seth Naquin, their children, Kielen and Kinley, her parents, Paul Harford and Melissa Cheney, and several siblings and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Kristian Matthew Naquin, and other beloved family members.
In honor of Madison’s life and legacy, her family requests that donations be made to Team Ory, the Laizarex Cancer Foundation, or a local humane society or food pantry.
Madison will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
