Margate Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Endangered Adult, Sergi Paredes

Margate, Florida – The Margate Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered adult, Sergi Paredes, who has been missing since Friday, August 9, 2024. Sergi, born on August 13, 1996, was last seen on his mother’s Ring camera at approximately 9:00 AM. He was wearing a black shirt, khaki pants, and white shoes at the time of his disappearance. Sergi is a white male, weighing around 120 pounds and standing at 5’5". He has a history of mental illness, which raises concerns for his safety.

Sergi is known to frequent the Holiday Springs Shops and is believed to often walk to Wellington. Due to his mental health condition and the circumstances of his disappearance, he meets the criteria for a missing endangered adult, making this search particularly urgent.

The Margate Police Department has asked anyone with information regarding Sergi’s whereabouts to contact them at (954) 972-7111. In case of an emergency, the public is advised to call 911 immediately.

On Facebook, local residents are expressing their concern and willingness to help. Erica Jarrett posted, "I’ll keep a look out," reflecting the community’s determination to assist in the search.

Authorities and loved ones are hoping for a swift and safe return for Sergi Paredes, with the community’s support playing a critical role in locating him.
