Mark Crook of Farmington, Connecticut, Syracuse University Alumnus, Passes Away at 65 Surrounded by Family

Farmington, Connecticut – Mark Crook, a respected Syracuse University alumnus and cherished member of the Farmington community, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, with his family by his side. He was 65 years old. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

Mark Crook was a native of Albany, New York, where he was raised in a loving and close-knit family. He distinguished himself early on with exceptional athletic and academic achievements, becoming the captain of both his high school football and basketball teams. His remarkable talent earned him the title of “All Suburban” athlete in both sports.

Mark pursued higher education at Syracuse University, where he majored in Finance. His time at the university was marked by continued excellence in sports, further honing his leadership skills. After graduation, Mark embarked on a successful career in the banking industry, eventually earning an MBA and establishing himself as a respected commercial banker.

Mark was deeply devoted to his family. He was a loving husband to Elizabeth and a proud father to his sons, Brendan and Jeffrey. His greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family, creating memories filled with laughter and connection.

Mark Crook is survived by his wife Elizabeth, their sons Brendan and Jeffrey, and his extended family, including his brothers Michael and Kevin, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Carol Crook.

The Crook family plans to release an official obituary in the coming days to commemorate Mark’s life and legacy.
