Scott Robertson, an 86-year-old resident of Black Mountain, North Carolina, has been reported missing, prompting an urgent call for public assistance from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office. Robertson, who suffers from dementia, was last seen at his home at 318 Dalton Lane on Tuesday, August 13th, at approximately 3 p.m.
Robertson is described as a white male, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 145 pounds. He has white hair, typically tied in a ponytail, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans with a brown stripe. Due to his medical condition, there is significant concern for his safety.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has urged anyone with information about Robertson’s whereabouts to come forward. They can be reached at 652-2235 or the non-emergency line at 652-4000.
Community members have taken to social media to spread the word and offer prayers for Robertson’s safe return. Rick Stanger, a local resident with a strong community presence, shared, "I’m putting this on my site with 4000 local members. I wore a badge 49 years." Marshaine Adams also reposted the information on a missing person page, stating, "Prayers he is found soon."
