Milford Haven Mourns the Sudden Passing of 23-Year-Old Adam John Owen; Funeral Details Announced

Milford Haven, Wales—The Milford Haven community is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Adam John Owen, a beloved 23-year-old resident of Cutty Sark Drive. Adam tragically passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, leaving his family, friends, and the wider community in profound grief.

Adam was a devoted son to David and Clare Owen and a cherished brother to Jack, Kaylin, Ruby, and Aaron. Known for his warm personality and ever-present smile, Adam was affectionately nicknamed “Smiley” by those who knew him. His positive energy and infectious joy touched everyone around him, making his sudden loss even more difficult to bear.

The news of Adam’s death has reverberated through the Milford Haven community, with many taking to social media to express their sorrow and share fond memories. Lisa Jane, Adam’s aunt, wrote, "My Handsome, Caring, Big Hearted Nephew Adam Owen is a huge part of our family, we adore him, and his love for the whole family will be cherished. Forever 23, Forever in my broken heart. I love you, Addy."

Others who knew Adam have also expressed their condolences. Lisa Martindale, a member of the Greyhound Rugby Club family in Hereford, shared her thoughts, saying, “As parents within the Greyhound Rugby Club family, our hearts go out to Adam’s parents and family. He was a lovely young man. Our thoughts are with you all at this devastating time.”

Torzy Griffiths, another friend, recalled Adam’s kindness: “So sorry to hear this news. He was a wonderful, kind boy who made me smile so much at St Francis. Condolences to all of the family and his friends.”

Adam’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Katharine & St. Peter’s Church in Milford Haven. The service will be followed by a private interment at Milford Haven Cemetery, reserved for immediate family and military friends. The family has requested that children under 13 years old not attend the church service or interment but are welcome to join the reception afterward.

In honor of Adam’s life and to support his family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched. The funds raised will help cover funeral expenses and provide additional support to his grieving family. The community’s outpouring of love and generosity has already been overwhelming, offering some solace to the Owen family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
