Missing 21-Year-Old Graham Norris Horne Last Seen in Bracey, Virginia; Community Shares Concerns on Social Media

Mecklenburg County, Virginia – The search continues for 21-year-old Graham Norris Horne, who went missing on Thursday, August 15, 2024, after a disagreement with members of a faith-based group he was traveling with. Horne was last seen walking east from Simmons Truck Stop in Bracey, Virginia, where the group had stopped for fuel. He does not have a phone and has no known connections to the local community.

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office has issued a missing person alert and is urging anyone with information on Horne’s whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.

The situation has sparked concern and conversation on social media, particularly on Facebook. The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office posted about the incident, and several individuals have shared their thoughts and observations.

Josh Spence, a local resident, commented, "I saw a guy walking on 903 Thursday evening. Walking away from Bracey towards South Hill. Somewhere between Bracey and Hicks Dr. It was right at dark, so I didn’t get a good look at him. When I came back through a couple minutes later, I didn’t see him."

Others have expressed their worries about the circumstances surrounding Horne’s disappearance. Patsy Davis questioned the decision to let Horne walk away, stating, "They just let him walk away without tryna follow him, so they went on bout their business and left him."

In response, Jenny Wood noted that although Horne is an adult and can make his own decisions, the situation is concerning, especially given the dangers of being alone in an unfamiliar area. "He’s 21, so unless he’s in custody, he can do as he pleases. He’s probably regretting his decision," Wood added.

Ruby Willingham from Winchester, Virginia, offered prayers and shared the post, emphasizing the widespread concern for Horne’s safety.

As the search for Graham Norris Horne continues, local authorities and the community are hopeful for his safe return. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
