Missing Child Alert – Search Intensifies for Sakari Thompson in Clayton County as Family Dispute Unfolds

Clayton County, Georgia – Authorities in Clayton County are urgently searching for 10-year-old Sakari Thompson, who has been reported missing under concerning circumstances involving a family dispute. The Clayton County Police Department issued a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) alert after receiving a report of Sakari’s disappearance on the evening of August 13, 2024.

According to the police report, officers were dispatched to the area of 100 Valley Hill Road following a call from Sakari’s mother. She informed law enforcement that she had recently moved from Florida to Georgia and had allowed Sakari to stay temporarily with his grandmother and aunt during the transition. However, when she requested his return, his grandmother reportedly refused to return the child and has since ceased communication with both the mother and the authorities. The family believes that the grandmother may have taken Sakari to Nebraska.

Sakari is described as a black male, standing at 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 78 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. There are no known medical or mental health conditions associated with him, but his current whereabouts are unknown, and it is unclear if he is still in Georgia or has been taken out of state.

The Clayton County Police Department has urged anyone with information on Sakari’s whereabouts to contact them immediately at 770-477-3747 or to call 911.

The community has begun sharing the missing person alert on social media, with several individuals expressing their concern for Sakari’s safety. The situation has left many worried, particularly due to the lack of communication from the grandmother and the uncertainty surrounding Sakari’s location.
