Fountain, Colorado – On August 21, 2024, a tense situation involving the disappearance of 17-year-old Jarrett Longacre came to a relieving conclusion. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has deactivated the Missing Indigenous Person Alert after Jarrett was safely located.
Jarrett, who was last seen on August 21, 2024, leaving the 900 block of Jimmy Camp Road in Fountain, Colorado, had prompted widespread concern due to his cognitive disorder. The teenager was described as having black hair and brown eyes, standing 5’09" tall and weighing 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camouflage-style shirt and pants, which made him easily recognizable.
Law enforcement officials were deeply concerned for Jarrett’s safety due to his condition, which added urgency to the search. The community, along with the CBI, rallied to help locate him, and fortunately, their efforts were successful.
Following the news of his safe return, many people expressed their thoughts on social media. Muhd Iqmal Hakimi shared, "A very sad detail of the incident was recorded by an eyewitness." The community’s relief was palpable as they thanked everyone involved in ensuring Jarrett’s safe return.
